Stream Study
Patuxent River State Park 23222 Georgia Ave, Brookeville, MDWhat's in the water? Look for crayfish, mayfly larvae, salamanders, and do some simple water quality tests in the Patuxent River. Closed-toe shoes or sturdy sandals that can get wet are recommended (no flip-flops, please). The activity will be cancelled if the water is high. Meet at the Nature Center.
Skulls and Skins: Bear Facts
Seneca Creek State ParkFor this special edition of "Skulls and Skins," the focus will be on a special creature: the bear. Learn the Bear Facts about Bears in Maryland and then learn about what bears eat. Act like a bear and gather "food" from the park. Meet at the Nature Shack by the Tire Playground.
