Moonlight Beaver Hike at Seneca Creek State Park

Join a volunteer ranger for an after-hours hike during the full moon. Meet at the park office and then hike to the lake to see the moon rise over the water. With a bit of luck, one of the resident beavers and other creatures will be out and about! Dress for cooler night temperatures and bring a flashlight.

The Sandy Spring Slave Museum presents the local documentary premiere of "Six Triple Eight: No Mail, Low Morale," a documentary about the 6888 Central Postal Directory Battalion – the only all-Black female unit to be deployed overseas during WWII. The "Six Triple Eight," which was active from 1945 to 1946, consisted of 855 women under the Command of Major Charity Adams.
