Come to the park for a fun 30-45 minute program for all ages. Meet a living snake or turtle and examine shells and skins from reptiles living in Seneca Creek State Park! Meet at the Nature Shack by the Tire Playground.

Autumn Pontoon Tour

Seneca Creek State Park

Take a relaxing 45-minute afternoon boat ride on the pontoon boat "Blue Heron." See the beautiful shades of autumn as the leaves begin to change around Clopper Lake. There is a small fee per person in addition to park entrance fees; meet at the Boat Center.

Weekday Hike

Seneca Creek State Park

This is a chance to get some fresh air and exercise after work. Hike a loop of between 1.5 and 2 miles, with frequent stops for animal sightings, plant, animal and insect observations. Meet at the Park Office.

Beginner Nature Journaling

Volunteer Opportunity: Weed Warriors

Join a state park ranger and help to remove some of the invasive plants that threaten Maryland's natural ecosystems. Close-toed shoes, bug spray, and work gloves are recommended. Ages 10 and older; may be canceled due to bad weather.
