Skywatching: Telescopes [CANCELED]

April 24, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

All April programs have been canceled. Celebrate Hubble’s 30th anniversary with an evening that is all about telescopes. Learn how to use a telescope – either one of the Observatory’s or your own. Learn about what makes a telescope work. There will be tours of the park and the Observatory and hands-on activities. Members of the Northern Virginia Astronomers will demonstrate astrophotography. The Space Telescope Science Institute will be showing the kind of data telescopes like Hubble send back to scientists for research.

A special Hubble 30th banner from NASA will be unveiled to celebrate the anniversary.

This program is co-sponsored with the Rockville Science Center.
