Pontoon Tours

Take a relaxing 45-minute boat ride on the pontoon boat “Blue Heron.” Learn about history of the area and search for that wildlife that call Clopper Lake home. Tours are at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – meet at the Boat House. There is a small fee in addition to the park entrance fee.

This special 82nd Anniversary celebration marks the arrival of the Presidents’ Conference Committee street cars in the Nation’s Capital. See video of the Fourteenth Street car line, the route first served by the cars in 1937. Ride the National Capital Trolley Museum's PCC cars. Ride our PCC cars, visit Street Car Hall to see our local streetcars. Adult admission, $10; children and seniors $8.

Stream Study

What's in the water? We'll look for crawfish, mayfly larvae, salamanders, and do some simple water quality tests in the Patuxent River at the Park. Close-toed shoes or sturdy sandals that can get wet are recommended (no flip-flops); may be canceled due to high water. Meet at the Nature Center.
