Lynching in Montgomery County: A Reconciliation Tour

Montgomery History Archivist/Librarian Sarah Hedlund will be joined by Michael Williams, the Co-County Coordinator for the Minority Scholars Program at Kennedy High School, and Tony Cohen, historian and Founding Director of the Menare Foundation. Together, the three speakers will provide an overview of the history of the county’s three lynchings, race relations in the U.S. and in the county post-Reconstruction, and what this history means for us today. Attendance is free, and registration not required.
