Nature Celebration through the Words and Music of African American Poets and Composers

Join the Audubon Naturalist Society on February 28, 7:00 -8:30 p.m. to hear the secrets plants have whispered to African-American poets and composers. Vocalist and Spoken Word Artist Karen Wilson-Ama’Echefu explores the work of black artists from James Weldon Johnson to Marilyn Nelson to Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, as they lyrically express their love, appreciation, and understanding of the natural world.
