Join Michael Twitty, an African American and Jewish writer, culinary historian, and educator for “Culinary Justice: Defining a Theory of Gastronomic Sovereignty.” Topics will include Michael’s work preparing, preserving, and promoting African American footways, its parent traditions in Africa, and legacy in the food culture of the American South. Join him for a lively discussion to explore how the preparation of food unites and divides our narratives and ways we can use it for good.
