The year 2020 is the sesquicentennial of the Fifteenth Amendment, which established that race and color could not deny an individual’s right to vote. An free lecture on this topic, “Tracking the Footprints of Black Elected and Appointed Officials and Voting Paths,” will be presented by Anita Neal Powell, the president of Lincoln Park Historical Foundation and Leroy E. Neal African American Research Center.
