The Path to Leadership: Montgomery County Women, Women’s Clubs, and Suffrage” is the topic of this free lunchtime talk hosted by the Montgomery County Historical Society. The presentation—offered on the 107thanniversary of the 1913 Woman Suffrage Procession in D.C.—explores women’s suffrage in the county and its relationship to the growing network of women’s clubs from the late nineteenth century through the early 1930s. Presenter Claire McDonald will also highlight the lives and contributions of three local women. The presentation will coincide with a new two-part online exhibition about women’s paths to leadership in the county.
