All aboard for the Silver Spring B&O Railroad Station open house, including real train spotting, a toy train play set, permanent model train display, kid’s toy engine to ride, videos, gift shop and refreshments. This month’s special exhibit is a glowing Capitol Limited “drumhead,” a moveable medallion designed to illuminate the train’s emblem at night on daily runs between Baltimore, Washington, D.C. and Chicago. The open house is hosted by Montgomery Preservation and the Silver Spring Historical Society.
