Lecture: “Hamilton: A Remix of History and Show Biz”

January 18, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

$20

Hamilton mania has continued to sweep the country ever since the musical’s debut in 2015. The exceptionally popular show has revived interest in the real lives and true stories of the historical figures that the production highlights. Hear historian Richard Bell’s analysis of what the show gets right – and wrong – about Alexander Hamilton and the American Revolution. What does the show’s cultural impact and runaway success tell us about our shared stories and our nation as Americans?

Includes a special performance by Jade Jones, singing “Satisfied” and “Burn” from the musical.

Advance ticket price for Sandy Spring Museum members is $15; admission at the door (for all guests) is $20.
