Students will learn about the people in the past who used decorative art to symbolize specific aspects of their heritage and culture. Through guided activities\, students will create their own suncatchers while learning about the important role of decorative art in different heritages and cultures. \nThis is a drop-off program\, but parents are welcome to hang around the Farm Park during the class. In this dynamic program\, kids will dive into the skills and crafts of the past as they explore a variety of traditional hands-on activities. From wood carving and leather working to paper making\, basket weaving and more\, each session offers a new opportunity for young crafters to learn\, create and connect with history in a tangible way. Guided by engaging instructors\, participants will gain confidence as they work with real tools and materials – experiencing firsthand how everyday items were crafted long before modern technology. Each session brings a fresh project and a chance to explore a different historical technique. \n\n\n\nGet ready to explore the history of sustainable jewelry and art through this Victorian paper beads program! Students will learn how people in the past used a new way of repurposing to create beautiful art. In this class\, students will use paper to create extraordinary beads that can be used for a variety of art such as jewelry\, decorations\, key chains\, and more! \n\nThis is a drop-off program\, but parents are welcome to hang around the Farm Park during the class.
