Through guided activities\, students will create their own suncatchers while learning about the important role of decorative art in different heritages and cultures. \nThis is a drop-off program\, but parents are welcome to hang around the Farm Park during the class. DESCRIPTION:What began as a 3-acre land patent in 1720 eventually grew to a 114-acre community center for the farmers to grind corn\, saw timber\, visit the local blacksmith for a repair\, and witness the power of the milling technology that earned Valley Mill its recognition as Maryland’s leading producer of corn meal in 1850. Visitors will see ruins of the mill\, learn about the archaeological excavations\, and enjoy a short hike along the stream. Free.
