Heritage Harvest Festival
Heritage Montgomery’s Heritage Harvest is a celebration of autumn and the fall harvest. A wide array of farms open free to the public have included farm markets, wineries and vineyards, a brewery, CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm, animal sanctuary, living history farm, lavender farm, and much more. Fun family activities include farm tours, markets, crafts for kids, live music, adorable farm animals, historic structures, and food for sale.

Roam peaceful gardens on a 2-acre Victorian homestead featuring original stone sculptures and works by local artisans; live music.
Button Farm Living History Center
16820 Black Rock Road, Germantown
Tour the living history farm with museum garden and heritage breed animals. Historical farm chores, games, and cider press. Local produce for sale.
East Rivendell Farm – Saturday only, 8am to 4pm
26904 Clarksburg Road, Damascus
Located in Montgomery County’s Agricultural Reserve, the farm produces non-GMO fruits and vegetables and is chemical free. They also have a wide variety of farm animals!
JWR Farm – Saturday only
11104 Watkins Road, Germantown
A unique 3-acre suburban farm site growing annual and perennial crops. Produce, chocolates, and food for sale. Community group TimeBank Repair Café demonstrates their “Don’t toss it – FIX it” philosophy.
Linden Farm – Saturday only
20900 Martinsburg Road, Dickerson
Montgomery Planning Dept.’s Rustic Roads and Historic Preservation staff will host walks and talks about Martinsburg Road, a designated historic resource and rustic road. Tour the “green” renovation of the historic Gothic dairy barn. Music by Bethesda Bach to Rock.

A charming 1790 log cabin art studio featuring oil and pencil artwork reflecting the pastoral landscape surrounding Sugarloaf Mountain, as well as botanical art.
Rocklands Farm Winery – Open 11am to 6pm

A winery, vineyard, and market on a historic property. Stroll the farm grounds, wine tasting, wood-fired pizza, market; farm tour at 1pm each day.
Shepherd’s Hey Farm

Wool-spinning demonstrations; farm-sourced raw wool, yarn, and sheepskin pelts. Sheep, chickens, and turkeys abound!
Soleado Lavender Farm

A scenic, family-owned farm growing several varieties of French and English lavender. Talks on bee keeping (11am) and lavender cultivation (noon). Artisan market and lavender products for sale.
Something Earthy Pottery

A pottery studio in a pastoral setting; artist’s studio, gallery, paint-your-own pottery.
