What's in the water? We'll look for crawfish, mayfly larvae, salamanders, and do some simple water quality tests in the Patuxent River at the Park. Close-toed shoes or sturdy sandals that can get wet are recommended (no flip-flops); may be canceled due to high water. Meet at the Nature Center.

Pontoon Tours
Take a relaxing 45-minute boat ride on the pontoon boat “Blue Heron.” Learn about history of the area and search for that wildlife that call Clopper Lake home. Tours are at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – meet at the Boat House. There is a small fee in addition to the park entrance fee.

Come to the park for a fun, 30-45 minute program for all ages. Meet a living snake or turtle and examine shells and skins from reptiles living in the park! Meet at the Nature Shack by the Tire Playground.
